Labotek's series of mobile dessiccant dryers, DDM is designed for the continuous drying of free-flowing plastic raw materials in granulate form

The Labotek DDM-V is considered the industry's most modern, feature packed and energy efficient dryer. Standard supply now includes a 6" colour touch screen control, LESS energy saving program and over drying protection, PGT hopper loader with level control, dew point outlet, over temperature thermostat and comprehensive 3 years parts warranty. Unique to the industry is the extremely small footprint of only 0.6m² and that it requires no compressed air. Comes complete with PGT4 hopper loader and loading in closed loop connection to the IMM guaranteeing zero moisture pick up during conveying.

The DDM-V range are fully mobile dual bed desiccant dryers with integrated automatic vacuum hopper loader and closed loop loading system to the moulding machine.

Touch Screen Control

DDM is operated via the microprocessor-based, 6" colour touch screen control.The touch screen is menu driven, using basic symbols and enabling easy operator interface.

Furthermore the control features shortcuts to the most basic functions, i.e. drying temperature settings, drying time, start/stop timer for drying and conveying settings.

Touch Screen Control LESS - Energy saving and protection against over drying

Energy saving is a key consideration for all companies in today's plastics processing industry. Low energy consumption means lower production costs and therefore improved competitiveness, not to mention our environmental responsibility.

Labotek's LESS was originally developed for Labotek's centralised drying systems where multiple drying hoppers are connected to a central desiccant dryer. Today it is included on all dryers as standard.  LESS has been designed to reduce the temperature of the supplied drying air if the return air temperature exceeds a preset value.
